Is there any relation between total views and Downloads (Sales) in your experience?

u can definitely trace a relation, but each contributor finds a different one. thats because each has different music or sfx styles, different prices and different volume of total clips. at some point, i did find a relation between no of views on my sfx and approximate sales to occur. however, i cant say it, because things changed continuously, my portfolio enlarged so i didnt keep track of such relation. but if u wait say 6 months and have no changes made to your portfolio (neither volume nor prices), u can find a specific approximate relation for you, that seems to be close to reality (for example, at 20 views, 4 add it to cart, and from those 4, one actually buys). officially, some years ago at least, pond5 stated that from adds to cart, about 50% conclude in actual sales. that of course, again is something to differ from contributor to contributor, because prices do vary, so for someone with music at $100 maybe only 25% of carts translate to sales, whereas someone with $25 might get 75%.

also, the relation u want to find might change due to external factors (period of the year, the way the site evolves - total number of clips that other contributors add and debalance your total sales, things that happen to site itself - investments, bad periods, management etc). so u can find a relation, but u have to make your statistic based on at least several months and that statistic will not be permanent cuz things change

ok, I get it, for now I've no sales yet, it's only 5 months I'm a contributor, the best thing I have is a 20 views and a 10 views (0 downloads and add-cart both). I hope that keeping to work will give me some positive result.
Thank you for your clear explanation.

you welcome. i see u only use about 65% of the tags. maybe try goong 100%? as in, 50 tags on each clip. and if u can, upload regularly rather than all at once (if u make a batch of 1000 photos, distribute their uploading during the period til your next batch, so that u upload pretty much daily, or at least with regularity. however, that would depend on how quickly u get reviewed, which i dont know), and upload on other sites too (i dont know them, im on audio)

I usually can't reach 50 because I don't find so many words that are really appropriate. Anyway I will try to reach 50 tags following your suggest. And I will also try to upload more constantly, I didn't know of that.
I hope I will get some sales one days (at least one would give me a lot of confidence). I'm working as best as I can (Now I have my camera to repair, my new a6300 is broken after only 4 months). I know also that I've to be enduring in this market so I try to don't be in hurry.
Thank you so much friend for your advice.
