ehh yeah the earlier models are from 2006.

Besides When you watch streaming video online you are watching compressed video.

if you want a better sensor you have to pay more.

The company that manufactures cmos sensors is still in production of full frame sized ones. Canon controls the sensors they produce. I think the reason its taking red so long is because they are waiting for the sensor manufacturers to develop what they need. Because I find it hard to believe that they would hold back production if they could help it.

Just out of curiousity, (to everyone)
BTW this has nothing to do with ephelle.
If you could have a custom built camera what would you want the specs to be. Reasonably speaking of course.

So If your camera could shoot in any format what would you choose? I mean would you want JP4 (raw) or cineform, Or photojpeg?

and what resolution would you all like? 4k? 2k...
4k is for IMAX movies, when you make film prints you have to downres to 2k anyway. Which is close to HD. Soooo 4k seems kinda overkill, and IMAX isnt THAT popular. 120fps 1080 is good enough right? If you want more you should probably get a high speed film cam.

I would want 120fps 1080 cineform.
Don't know if I would fool with 2k but if the camera was inexpensive enough (less than 5 thousand) I would get it.
