Istanbul, Turkey

Hello All,

A client is sending me to Istanbul, Turkey in the near future. After the video job I have been hired to do is over with, I will have a few days to do as I please.

Is there anyone interested in footage of the city of Istanbul? Activities, specific sights, etc?

I will be shooting with a Panasonic HVX200A. Which shoots in 1080i or 720p HD formats.

Any info, feedback, suggestions, are welcome.

lots of batteries. get converters so you can charge your batteries :-). Lots of hard drive spaces (that shoots on p2 cards, right?). laptop.

I've never been to Istanbul, but have seen some pictures. Looks like a great place!

why do you ask?

Depending on what you are shooting, like interviews, you would probably want a good lighting setup. You could plan on natural light too, just depends on the situation.

I ask because taking lighting on the plane is very challenging. You would probably want to ship it in advance.

The idea is to do our best with available resources and lights. Some interior, some exterior shooting.

Yes, I would like to know the location for a professional video or photography store where I could buy good quality 9v batteries, bounce boards, gaff tape, and expendables in general, as well as possibly other pro tools. These types of resources would be helpful. Thank you for the offer.
