Need to learn, time to ask for help

I have been doing stock photography for 3 years now and do pretty well with it. I used to do video with a large vhs recorder for recording evidence - thats my experience for video work.

I use a Nikon D500 and a Panasonic HCX1 for video. Most of my nature is done with a large zoom lens. I use a balancer head for photo work, but just can not get panning down. I suck at it. Looking at investing in a good head for video work that will work for either camera and may need to get another tripod as well.

Most of my shots are static for the nature, again...I can't get panning down at all. I have a video head with the panning bar...but it's really short and it is not meant for the weight of a Nikon and a 200-500 lens or the HCX1.

Obviously I do primarily nature/wildlife stuff and some aerial. My aerial I know I need to work on movement and using ND filters better. Aerial I actually do more work for a k9 training company and public safety work.

Any nature/wildlife folks that use the bigger dslrs or something like the hcx1 that have found an awesome tripod/head combo for the field, hiking?

I make a few sales here a month and at another agency, ready to learn and take it to another level. Fire away. Only thing I hate on a critique is...you suck...and nothing to follow.
