Music Critique

I've been on Pond5 now for about 3 years. I had about 20 songs on here for the first year that were all in one genre, but now I have about 90 in various genres. I have not made very many sales. Maybe around 5 - 6 in total! I'm just wondering if my work is subpar or if I'm on the right track and just need to keep uploading. If anyone has time to listen to some of my tracks and give meaningful feedback it would be very much appreciated!

Sincerely,

Hey,

I checked out some of your work. The quality sounds fine. The only thing I would suggest off the top is that you consider creating :30 and :60 edits of your tracks where you can. Many creators are comfortable editing audio they like to fit their work. However, I think that others prefer being able to "plug and play" if they're working on a timed media project like an ad. Otherwise, I'd suggest making maximum use of keywords (and don't just stick to the ones provided). And don't forget to promote your work on your website, blog, social media, etc. Keep plugging away; I heard things in there that a music supervisor or filmmaker would use (in my opinion anyway) if he or she can find it.

Good luck,

Hey Bruce!

Thanks so much for taking the time to listen to some of my work and providing meaningful feedback. I really appreciate all of your suggestions! For what it's worth, I listened to some of yours and I really liked what I heard as well. You seem to have a lot of high quality and diverse tracks. Impressive!

I'm happy to hear that you think some of my work is something that a music supervisor or filmmaker would use. Until this point I've never really got or asked for any feedback so I was really unsure if what I was creating was even worth my while. As a newbie to the industry its hard to know where you stand amongst the competition.

Anyways, I have a few other questions for you but I'm not sure if they are appropriate for this forum. If you are up for continuing our conversation, please e-mail me at momusicformedia@gmail.com. If not, no worries, I really do appreciate the time you took to listen and comment.

Cheers,

Mike

All Sales sites are currently down, many are not understanding ... but I imagine that is the great number of songwriters!
Your work is very good!
I've been coming to Pond5 for a couple of weeks because I had more sales on AudioJungle, but over there things are getting very weak ...
but congratulations!
Your sound is very good!

Hi Walter,

Thank you for taking the time to listen to some of my work. I checked out your page as well and liked what I heard! They are very catchy and seem like they'd sell well for the corporate marketplace.

Hi,

i would say you must work harder. Hundreds of new tracks are coming every day and you need to swim on the top if you want more sales. 90 tracks in 3 years is not enough, this is what i make in 4 month :) You need more items.

Good luck
