Black pixel lines on rendered footage

TrackUp 20 May 2010 07:42
I use Sony Vegas Pro 9 to render footage for upload to Pond5. I have noticed some of the footage has black pixel lines at the top and bottom of the clip. The lines don't appear when I view the footage in Qtime viewer before upload but do show up when I import the footage back to Sony Vegas Pro 9. How do I get rid of the lines and prevent future occurances?

Any suggestions are appreciated.

Thanks,

Make sure you have the size set correctly at 1920c1080 id full size HD. Also if you do any image stabilization you will need to increase image size to take care of the stabilization jitter you remove. Also make sure you have full size and not letterbox selected. It looks like the "stretch" setting may be set to letterbox. Other than that I don't use Vegas so can't help there. Good luck.

Thanks for the reply...Good info. Pond5 tested the clips and said they were ok. I haven't seen any other clips with the black lines on P5. I hope there right. I would hate to re-render and upload them again!

Having the same issues with the black lines and need to re-do multiple clips. Is the Letterbox setting in the Streamline program? The rest of our settings seem to agree with those listed above. We are only have these issues with the HD clips.

Do you edit with Vegas 9 Pro?
