Hello,
I am currentliy working on a SciFi radio drama thriller. Its title: Terra - Memorandum. There is one very specific requirement.
A man and his girl friend arrive at Miami airport, at midnigt, leave this one and take a shuttle train to their hotel. Suddenly
something happens what noone has expected. The dark sky breaks and form one minute to the next there is bright daylight,
an artificial one, but despite of this bright daylight.
Does any still know Pink Floyd's live version of "Saucerfull of Secrets"? There, from 06:20 to 07:18, you can hear a sound which
can make this action clear from the acoustic point of view. And I am currently looking for something fairly similar.
Any idea?
Kind regards

Do you mean the high pitched sound? If so, I'm pretty sure that it's made by the guitar being played with a metal slide, as seen on this video at 06:25 (live in Pompeii) https://youtu.be/cEfS98F89Ho?t=6m25s . Plus lots of reverb and delay/echo.
I would try and search for keywords like guitar, ethereal, slide,... in the sound effects section here on Pond5.
I guess you could also achieve a similar sound using a square or a saw wave in a synth, and adding some distortion, reverb and delay.
Hope that helps!
