Antonio Vivaldi (1678–1741) was an influential Italian Baroque composer, virtuoso violinist, and priest, known for his vibrant compositions and contributions to instrumental and choral music. Born in Venice, Vivaldi became a music teacher at the Ospedale della Pietà, an orphanage for girls, where he wrote many of his works.
