$2.88 for one of my clips

I know that we signed essentially all rights away with the new agreement, but I feel a bit insulted that Pond5 are selling my clips so cheap through their GPP & LLP Partner sales.

I find it particularly annoying considereing they have a minimum amount we can value the clips at, yet they can sell whatever they like for pennies.

I am absolutely agree.

I is just ripping off to see my stuff sold for $1.12.

That's an exclusive clip, too.
Makes you wonder why you would bother going exclusive if they're selling your work at that price.

Hi David, it solf for $4.80 or something close to that.

I did write to Pond5 and apparently it is something to do with a partnership they had with Adobe, which has now come to an end. I find it difficult to get full answers from their team, but I worry clips will continue to be sold at these prices, but through SS rather than adobe.

That's one way to alienate their contributors. Without our work, they have nothing to sell. Very foolish for any company to upset those responsible for the actual merchandise.

Thanks for your reply miles hopefully an end to this nonsense .

Me too I was also sold by Pond5 under those licenses several clips for 2,68$. Last week.
I asked for information about these sales and a nice lady from support answered me "think it's better than selling 0" to which I replied that they canceled my exclusive contribuitor contract with Pond5 for not understanding that my work has a value that they advertise is free by the author, and this action of sale goes against that. Terrible philosophy don't care artist and source of your business.

Finally, yesterday the management team explained to me what had happened with some agreements and alliances, including Adobe stock, which has caused the subscription policy of these partners to devalue the prices of our work and not respect the value that each author gives it, which for me is one of the best ways of marketing, always within margins to be competitive.

A convincing apology and explanation and a valuable treatment allows me to revalue my participation with exclusivity, which is really the most interesting and helps Pond5 to have unique and exclusive material, the best way to sell against the competition. You have to try and keep your feet on the ground.

i've had two sfx sold (a week ago or so) at about 50 cents (each). each sfx was priced at $25 and my share was $0.16 on each. out of my set price of $25, i got to get approximately 156th part of that price..

i have to say though, that when i wrote to support, they've been very nice and i wrote several mails (a back and forth) and support was very good. the issue still remains, but pond5 support is very good.

another thing to consider is that apparently they themselves are ok with such lowering of the price, i mean, theyre ok with taking a split from such a low price.. theyre affected too and it seems theyre ok with that. thats sort of a curious thing..
