I just can't work out how to:
1) Embed hyperlink to one of my collections into Description field
2) Embed clips into description field.
Can anyone help?

I use the "link" button and use the clip or bin # of the item I want to feature, I mainly use the bin as a preview.
Preferences>About and then click link at the place you want to insert a preview.

Thanks Normstock - I now see how to get the links into my personal description on the pref > about page.
What I now want to do is put a link (and/or various clip previews) to a collection in the description field when editing an individual clip.
I see one or two people doing this but I just can't find "link" anywhere. All I can do is lamely 'copy and paste' and that doesn't produce a hyperlink. It's driving me caaarazy! It's either my computer or my brain - but it's just not happening ;-)

Try going to a page with the type of link you want using Google and the right click for page element and have a look at the code.

If you want to add a thumbnail like I did here, this is the code:
Here are some similar clips
[link]/stock-footage/27018320 [item]27018320 icon[/item][/link] [link]/stock-footage/35251728 [item]35251728 icon[/item][/link]
Use with caution. If you replace/change a clip you need to go back and update all of the other links with the new clips ID.

Thanks for the heads up - this "linking" malarkey needs more - well linking - than I thought.
Cheers.

I think a collection link is more useful, I see Sevart does this in his clip descriptions

Yes, I agree that the "collections" is possibly more encompassing.
I have just noticed that when an individual clip is looked at one can see, bottom left, that there is a link "Collections containing this stock video"
I wonder if this obviates the need to do it ourselves? Presumably the regular buyers are savvy enough to have this covered with Pond5 collection links.

An easy way to do this is right here in the forums/community. Create your description as if you were writing a post. Use the buttons provided here (below) to create the links as you wish. Then simply highlight the entire text generated here, copy, then go to your clip description page and paste it in. Very simple and clean. Just don't end up hitting the "Post Reply" button or else! :)

Thanks for that vadervideo - I'll try it out.
