I got rejected for images that are too small, but my images are HUGE!
One was 20 inches x 11.23, 300 dpi!
The other was 15.543 inches x 11.23, also 300 dpi.

These are sharp images, render out of 3D program. There's no clutter and because of the colors, the both compress very well. Apparently too well because they're only 2.75 MB a piece. It seems that the curator didn't even open the images.

what's the resolution? no one talks about inches :-P, I'm guessing by your numbers they were ~6000x3600 px (21mp) ?

Maybe they didn't like the content and just quickly chose a generic response. They aren't fractals are they?

6000 X 3369 / JPEG / 2.7MB

I added some photoshop noise to the background and when made a jpeg it upped the file size to 18 MB. Same dimension. I'll let you know if it gets rejected again.

They should know that clean render has a smaller file, it's normal. I hope you get lucky with that noise.

2.7MB is too much compression. Get it up above 10MB and the size issue will go away if that is all it is.
