direct bank deposit idea

I stopped using paypal a long time ago because the limit for paypal transfers, and the fees etc.
So then I switched to checks, (also partly because of the teller girls, but Bryan says they aren't worth it anyway)
But my checks are getting bigger, and its a little nerve racking having them in the mail, although its not that bad I suppose.
Soooooo my point: Maybe a direct bank deposit could be another option? A lot of companies do it, it reduces paperwork.

PayPal has no limit nor fees unless someone is send your commissions by credit card then they deduct a small percentage. I've been using PayPal since 06 and have a premier account.

Yeah dude I'm tellin you just get all the limits off your account by providing them (paypal) all the info they want. Then get the paypal debit card, it's soooo easy... Trust me it will be the exact same as getting direct deposit it's just to a different account. You can pay bills with it, and do any thing you would do with a bank account.

i will joyfully second this idea, and hope that this will be an option. i receive all touring cost through a swift transfer to my account here in Kenya, but the foreign cheques i get from pond 5 takes a month for clearing. as of now, i have not received my march payment, and when i get the check, it will mature 30 days after i bank it. it becomes very frustrating, and as ironstrike says, my pay has improved a lot and i am afraid of such money being sent by post. In this parts of Africa, mail pilferage is still very alive. though they will not be able to cash it, they might just spoil the check out of frustration. We dont have paypal this part of the world, so wire transfer is the best option.
So, aye, aye, i second.

Bank transfers generally cost a lot of money (around $50 for international), and are pretty time consuming for us. For those of you who are not able to use http://paypal.com or http://moneybookers.com, we are looking into a couple other options right now - Payoneer and Xoom. We hope to have a Payoneer option set up soon. If anybody has other options, please let us know.
Thanks

Thanks for looking into it anyway, I didn't realize the bank charged anything for it.

I have a Paypal commercial account. Never had problems with limits. But when problem comes up, it is impossible to deal with Paypal. After 911, I had a family member who's Paypal account was frozen. They went into his bank account and reversed the last 60 days transactions. The reason: they said a similar name appeared in the SDN list and proceeded to confiscate the money. SDN stands for Special Designated Nationals. It is the list were they put drug dealers, terrorist and enemies of USA. This list instructs banking institutions to freeze all assets of people that are or that they think the name matches anybody on this list. Paypal requested copy of driver's licence, copy of USA passport, copy of the house energy bill. These documents were supposed to be sent by mail to an address in UTAH which had no contact telephone numbers and no customer service officer. The Paypal regular customer service rep knew that the place existed, that it was a legit Paypal division but that they had now idea who worked there nor any contact by phone information. I had to contact the Secret Service and Paypal refused to give any information to the Secret Service and to the FBI. I downloaded the SDN list and could not find anybody with the name of my family member. Paypal never gave the name of the company officials that decided to freeze the money. More than 2 years went by until Paypal finally returned the money and they did not apologize for making a mistake. We did not sue Paypal because it was only $200 bucks. From that lesson I learn to keep my Paypal bank account at 0, retreiving the money as soon as it comes in. I am sure that Paypal made millions in interest by freezing small accounts and returning the money years later. So, at least for USA bank accounts, if direct deposit is viable, I would recommend it.
