Wow... OK, the advanced search page definitly needs an extensive help page.
You could also include a "Only from/not from artist" field to the advanced mask that only suggests/accepts the names of contributors. Personally I don't mind a little search engine logic, but most people would not even be able to understand the example above. ;-)

Artist pages are indeed search engine friendly, so the content you have on there - bio, blog, etc - is all indexed and findable on Google and the other search engines.
Like Marcus says, automatic resizing of clips is next on our list, once we have the new server stuff in order. So it should be pretty soon now.
The individualization thing is something we're looking into now and putting together a plan for. I'll be dropping you an email soon to bounce some more ideas off you.
@Varius: yes, you are very right! An artist field and a more user-friendly search interface are coming soon, along with a bunch of other cool - and easy! - functionality. :)

The hardest part of making a help thing is done - I found a good icon in http://developer.yahoo.com/yui/.
Anyway, if you open the advanced search box at the top, there is a lightbulb top right. Click on it to get to the help text about the search engine.
