So called "sales" don't work anyway. I agree with rwm-media.. it is a total waste of talent to think that a "sale" will achieve anything. The industry that would typically buy this type of footage doesn't care about price so much anyway. They have budgets and need to spend them. Many don't understand that price perception vs quality perception fall hand in hand. I have spoke with many buyers and some have even told me that they could get fired by simply buying a "cheaply priced" clip due to the boss's perception of value/quality etc..

Can't we talk about beautiful meteors here??

Calm down guys... It's only 1 week that's why it's called summer sale.
The fact is my average price of sold clips(HD) are around $50(2013). How about you?
and you know this data...
AVG price of all clips online: $50.56
AVG price of sold clips: $35.13
AVG price of clips sold >1 time: $33.84

People can see other artists total sales# now. Do some math before you comment something like that. It tells you a lot.

Beautiful meteors, that's what I mean when I say that I really like your clips. I definitely know how much time and work is in this kind of clips. That’s why I’m shocked that you give this quality clips away for (nearly) nothing.

One week is nothing, or? Well, if all quality producers do that for one week once a year, we are pretty quick on that low price level. A discount of 20-40% is a lot and it’s a good thing to promote your company/clips. A discount of 80% or more makes me keen-eared and that’s normally not in a positive way…

My average price of sold clips(HD) are clearly above $50 because I did not sell below that price on any agency. Only on my website I give a discount from 10% to 25%. Ohw… and my math tells me that we pretty much on a same level compared to clips online and downloads. ;-)

Please note, I don’t want to attack or annoy you. As I say, I like your clips.
I only can’t understand that you give them away for nothing.

Do you understand that the price range is set by Pond5? That's their business model. If you think it's wrong, you should complain to P5 directly. You said it would kill the business but P5 had the same rule for 5+ years. Do you really think P5 killed the industry? It looked opposite to me past 5 years.

>and my math tells me that we pretty much on a same level compared to clips online and downloads. ;-)
Wow, so you mean your average sold price is roughly 9 times higher than me=$50, otherwise it doesn't match to the same level?

BTW, this is place to post Persied meteor shower 2013 clips.
