Do buyers prefer a certain file size?

Hey all, just started out here. Wondering if buyers have a preference to file format or file size? For example, do they want me to rip the file at the absolute best resolution I can at a file size of 1 gb, or slightly lesser quality for 500 mb? Just curious, this is my first time trying anything out like this. Thank you.
