Hi everyone, i was wondering if it was possible to use a footage defined as ''Editorial only'' in order to make my new YouTube channel Intro. Is it possible? It will be a filmmaking channel, so no commercial/advertising purposes. Thanks.

I do not think it is a good idea to use editorial footage for that purpose. You mentioned "no commercial/advertising purposes." Even if your channel does not play commercials, your channel can still be interpreted as a commercial entity.
What if you promote your filmmaking services during your videos? This could easily be interpreted (by a lawyer) as using your channel in furtherance of a commercial interest.
You don't want to run commercials now, but what if you decide to at a later date? What happens if you receive sponsorship? Your choices would be to redo all the intros or to take your chances by leaving the clip.
There are too many variables at play. Not worth the potential headache. You might like that one clip, but there are plenty more out there to choose from. $.02
