Keyword overage

Sorry, didn't see this. That is just a counter on javascript. If you edit you clip or look at the data in view_csv, that is what is in the data base and that's what's going to solr. Ill fix that asap.

We're not altering any keywords without telling you.

The old solr installation got nervous so we redid it on a cluster with a stable version. username fell out from that but is now back. That is, both artist:marcus and marcus works in the search field, but artist:marcus is the preferred one.

Please email me id:s of clips without keywords if you find any.

I'm not too smart I guess. So do we have to look at the csv to see what keywords are used on old approved footage? Are keywords being not used if there is a negative number now? I sure hope this is not the case. I and many others have hundreds and probably thousands of footage that once were ok now have too many keywords. Since the changes we no longer can prioritize order the keywords so the "stupid filler" keywords drop off first. This is confusing when we as artists cannot determine what keywords are valid on searches or have keywords arbitrarily dropped of because of changes after footage was approved.
So how does the minus work and what does it really mean as far as searches?

I just sent in some examples, some missing all the key words, some missing the description, some missing the categories, one missing categories and description. I guess winter will be here soon and give us something to do. Maybe you could make a program to make it easier to find the damaged files without doing it the slow way it is now.

I've just cleared the last eleven pages uploaded. I haven't figured out how to get the key words that come from the checked boxes to show up. This has nothing to do with the 25 word limit, I usually don't come anywhere close to the limit.

The problem is the "old way" the checkbox words did not count. Also now the checkbox phrases are separated into individual words instead of phrases. So in the "old" good way we had 25 words to type in plus the boxes. So if 25 words were types in, then the checkbox words are counted and phrases are separate words it is entirely possible to exceed the 50 word limit by a long way.

Marcus said that they don't alter artists keywords without telling us but does the search system ignore words that exceed the limit? It kinda appears to do so and that is just not right. Really appreciate Kennon and Marcus comments but the question was not answered this time.

All in all I've had the title, description, key words, categories and the checked boxes changed or left off. The title was replaced with the title I used before editing for my own reference. Even with the checked boxes I usually don't make 25 key words. For example, the key word box might only say "day" and nothing else..

I did a fast review of footage I've keyworded since the last big changes ... yup numerous with "minus 2" or more keywords. Sure would like to know why this is happening and what the impact is to searches. Are any words not being used in searches or are any words given a lower priority because of the changes. This impacts everyone and many artists with thousands of clips cannot go back and keep making changes due to program problems.

problem continues with checkbox phrases. "depth of field" is broken into three individual keywords; depth, of, field.

footage that has no people yet the checkbox showing adult 30-40 is there now when not selected. Many here really try to avoid spam but it makes us look bad, it makes it look like we are the spammers. Back out the changes where this started. Give control of keywords back to the artists please.

Today I found one with country and location missing, yesterday the camera was missing.

Pond 5 could make it easier for us to repair the damage if they make the program go back to the page we're working on instead of going back to page one.
