Designing flexible and useful templates for uploads and tags.

As a new member to the Pond5 community I'm wondering how folks organize templates. I starting to find that having a template and adding as many generic tags as possible seems to be the quickest way to get through tagging. Then with each track I delete the tags that don't make sense (say "orchestral" if the track is really a synth-pop style) and then adding ones that make sense for that specific track.
While I just started working with Pond5 I have composed for various media for the past decade and find that anything I can do to streamline the secretarial aspects of this type of work is really helpful.
So, here are two questions:
1) How are you organizing templates? (Genre, application, album, DAW, etc...)
2) What descriptions seem to work best? (setting a scene, being more technical, discussing specific application, etc...)
Thanks!
