It's still a gorgeous shot! And you have a nice flat horizon... that helps. We are gonna try again tonite from a skyscraper roof top if the guy can make to give us access. Stay tuned. :) We are hitting the high 80's and low 90's here already.

Here is my first try. This is a crop of a wide angle time lapse. Didn't find it with my tele lens until it was too late. It might be a bit hard to spot the comet in this small video preview.

I see it. Nice shot... it is tough to get the exposure right to capture it. This is a most challenging subject no doubt.

@eurospiders: I saw a comet too
@vidervideo: I was on the top of ~300m hill near Helsinki and direct sight visibility was 50+ km.

new stuff from last night:

Nice, Andy....

I had one chance to get it in the Eastern Oregon desert a couple nights ago, with the 400mm and the FS700's 1.6x crop factor....damn clouds were threatening...and moving in....whoa, there it is!

Nope....dead pixel in the DP4 viewfinder.

Drat.

Very cool, Zygi! That's kind of the shot I was going for, although a bit closer. Had the sliver crescent, and a nice gradient....but the clouds, ah, the clouds!

Nice shot Andy - you are real expert on this kind of stuff.
I also finally got this comet and will process and post later.

Thanks Zygi, but I don't think of me as an expert... just persistent. :) - I love these types of challenges as they allow one to experiment and see what works and what doesn't. "Patience is a virtue" as they say... persistence is so much better. Oh and it also helps tons when the skies are clear. ;)
