DRONE STUFF

This is not a drone. It is a motor-kite and can be very useful in some situations were you want to fool FAA.

It has no Gimbal?!
Any China made drone with a line can do the same job.
cinecameratv 1 Mar 2016 21:39
patuwe97 ..... wrong. This one stays in the position that you put it to float. Just turn the ON button. No radio control. No autonomous flight. As I said .. for certain situation, it will work well.
BunFest 2 Mar 2016 07:07
It doesn't look like a kite, not airplane, but a drone with a line attached to hold its position. It is not innovation at all. Sorry.. The biggest advantage of this is it will not fly away to no where. LOL
cinecameratv 3 Mar 2016 03:26
@patuwe97 ... well I am going to buy one of these. So small you can have it with you all the time. Since there are places here in points of interest like parks and fortress grounds where you can fly kites but you cannot fly drones plus they are also good if you do not have a boom platform and you need one and you are in a place where radio control drones are not allowed to fly.

There is too little information about this product. as far as I can see, there is no Gimbal, don't know how you can change shooting angle, tilt up and down etc. This is simply a wasted money product. Useless !

I know you won't buy it, have even doubt you will buy a drone at all. May be when the time comes that you really buy one, all government have laws to control Drone. LOL

So what are peoples thoughts on the new Phantom 4? I am very much considering selling my walkera talk h500 and getting the new phantom. I have yet to use a dji copter but a friend who has the inspire has loved flying his.
cinecameratv 4 Mar 2016 00:08
You want to change from a hexacopter to a quadcopter?
jakerbreaker 4 Mar 2016 00:17
Yes. The tali h500 is too much for a beginner like me to handle. I have crashed it numerous times and repaired it numerous times. I am wanting something like this that is capable to tracking a subject on its own.

If that tali500 hex is anything like the walkera QRX350 I have (had .. it got carried off by big bird) as far as response and stability, I would say no wonder ... I crashed mine several times even after not crashing the Matrix E which is much bigger, and more "stately" in the air, as well as powerfuller. The Inspire 1 is easy-peasy to fly ... feel freaked out? Let go of the sticks, and it stops. Now. "Awaiting next command, Sir" And gives very stable no jello minimal distortion video all day, even coming back if you lose it somewhere up there. The Phantom 4 will be like that. (Make sure you specify a good return to home height, as if you do as I did, for instance, and flew around/past a rocky point jutting out into water, the craft lost connection, the craft tried to come home, straight back to me, but did not see the trees. At least the P4 will see the trees and hopefully go around/over them. But will it see power lines?

However, the codec is lacking, and while the P4 looks like a stop in the right direction as far as easier peasier, now much harder to crash into stuff (unless you are flying backwards or sideways, like I like to do!) you still will have that nasty props in the shot crap, and you are likely, unless some miracle, gonna be saddled with a codec that is really not very good .. GoPro Protune is better, although GoPro distortion is bad especially on tilts down/up but then you can easily change that lens. Newer air droids are presumably sporting interface with GoPro for rec start/stop /pics/video switching, but unlikely for exposure, which is a big bummer, naturally. Another fun factoid with DJI stuff, and maybe the other companies with smart drones is that there are gotchas. You will not be able to fly in an increasing amount of no fly zones. THE aircraft will simply not take off. You are SOL, on that account. There are limits to the follow functions, and even POI automation has limits, like you cannot, for instance, have it circle around something unless it is a minimum height off the ground ... so if you want to circle around a person standing with their arms in the air looking like a dork, you will have to be at least 30' up, which is no good for that unless they are on a pinnacle of sorts.
