3D Format, sizing and proportions

Indeed the green/red is a complete format. This is over a hundred year old technology and has very little future left IMHO. I have done the same but with upcoming technology in passive and active displays I think we as stock shooters need to look forward and try to give the future producers the best quality. It does appear that separate 1920x1080 p for each eye is best for any future technology and leave it up to the producer to sync the two videos. If this is the case we need P5 to make it possible and easy to link the left and right eye videos to each other.

Spotmatik places left and right eye clips at the end of the footage. The buyer selects what he is going to use.

that might be the best idea

I never heard about such layout of stereoscopic 3D clips, but agree this may be a good idea. Also I just wondering how it is posible that sizes of these nearly 90s clips are ~300MB? That is impossible for good quality PhotoJPEG progressive scan clips. May be quality is very low or bitrate is < 20 Mbps?
Don: what sizes are for your's 90s stereoscopic 3D clips from GoPro Hero 3D? And what is a bitrate / per each eye?

Interesting new 3D camera:

This camera seems to be the combination of two HMC40s. It seems it records 1 full HD stream into one card and the 2 stream into the other card. Best used is for weddings. well illuminated studio work, and object that are not far away. Not ideal for panoramas or far away objects.

Panasonic should have provided a way to use square filters like those used in a MatteBox.

STEREOSCOPIC 3D: A client looking for a good stereoscopic 3d video clip would enter that category and just leave immediately. I do not know why P5 did not take corrective action yet on this category. Now the problem is humungous. 3d video scenes and computer 3d fractals/VJ loops should be in separate categories.

Where should stereoscopic and 3D recordings go if not in the stereoscopic 3D category?

I took some time to count every item that is not my own creation for the stereoscopic 3D category. There are 831 CGs and "footage" videos there. I searched using Default with 500 results per page. For customers looking for stereoscopic 3D CGs and "footage" they have a decent selection. For customers looking for fractals and flames they have a much better selection. If you are not happy with the current selection for the CG and/or "footage" side then clearly more videos of that type need to be produced and placed within that category. I'm not knocking anyone for the videos they have produced or the types they are looking for.

Usually buyers will search for a 3D stereoscopic object, not just 3D stereoscopic.
For example, if you search for "3D stereoscopic" you get 8857 result. If you search for "3D stereoscopic flower", you get only 234 results, with ZERO INTERFERENCE.

Yep. Plus some pictures and vectors. No fractal flames (from me at least) for the first 502 items either.
