After a little researching into a previous thread - it seems that 'sr views' are search results views. 'playbacks' - are hover views but haven't found click through's yet. hope this helps - Jen x

Yes that´s what I also found so far.
What I find so strange is that views in this statistic doesn´t match the view in clip views. I have far more views to my clips here than in clip views as I have told in an earlier post.
As an example the Black Headed Gull shows 19 views in the statistic file but none in clip views.

"The issue is in the past, last year the data made more sense. It was easier to understand and had some real meaning. Now it doesn't sound like anyone can understand the data or has any idea what it means or how it is accurate enough to use. Most comments are coming from old heads who actually did view and use the data. What was being looked at to help determine interest in different subject matter. To help evaluate if descriptions and keywords were helping to get views and or sales. If a clip had no views after a while it was a good thing to go back and review descriptions and keywords. Now having no views for months is normal but unlikely. P5 has always been great giving the artists access to data, now the data has significantly changed and we longer know what it means."
I didn't say anything like:
"Changing KW to match popular KW does indeed lead to spam as you questioned. Just like copying KW from others."
I was questioning your original post in regard to your other complaints about the spam problem on Pond5. I was questioning whether people who practice what you wrote are causing the problem with the spam they complain about.

Like I said before, I believe templates cause spam, I believe copying other artists data causes spam, I believe using the keyword assistants cause spam unless the list is reviewed for words that actually match the footage. I believe that using the most searched KW cause spam. I believe that if a product has a very large number of views and no sales it could be a problem of either spam or poor quality product. What that number of view compared to sales, I don't know, especially with the unknown stats of the data now.
Now with that said, if the artist cares or tries to be ethical he will not allow any of the above cause spam. So many products have KW that absolutely do not match the product. This is a because of copying without review for accuracy. If the artist reviews his data before hitting submit then none of the above should be a factor. Problem is too many don't review. They totally fail on the most important part of stock sales .... review for accurate descriptions and KWs.

Using the most used keywords that apply to a particular file surely isn't the cause of spam is it? Nor is copying applicable keywords from similar and successful files? Files that have lots of views must have something going for them.

Why do you argue so much. If an artist uses any of these tools blindly it does cause spam. Any tools that an artist can use to generate or copy KWs will cause spam unless they take the time to modify, revise, adjust and delete words that are not applicable to their specific product. The most used KWs do not apply to a particular file, they are just a list that apply to dozens or hundreds of files that have been searched. If a careful revision and use of these are applied to a new specific file then it is a good thing and will not be spam.
I will always stand by my comments that anyone who blindly and verbatim uses KW from other artists similar or successful files are not ethical. There are just too many ways to generate good keywords. An artist who browses other footage for trends in concept and KWs is ok but blind copy with no input, changes or modification to data are weak, lazy and cannot succeed on their own without using the hard work of others. That does lead to spam.
Again with view. In the last hundred or so footage I had no or only a couple views in well over a month .... except for 3-4 that had over from the same time period well over 150 views each. These footage were similar to many other files I have here. Why no views on so many then close to 200 views on a few. I don't think they "have something for them". After being here for over four years there is no reason why views should have been any difference.

Heck I've though about using Jake's, or Francois or even AllFractUp too, but I keep coming back to your name as maybe the most influential. I've been trying to send ya some sales Bryan. This week was better than a while, maybe I can make it happen some day for you ...
