Looking for iSyndica Distribution Alternative

One advantage iSyndica provided because it was on "their" servers and not on my computer was that distribution was faster. When I uploaded a clip to iSyndica they would open up multiple threads and upload it to multiple sites simultaneously. So clips were distributed faster. Not to mention that even with the fastest cable service I can buy, with half the people in my house watching Netflix or playing online games most of the time, it affects my upload speeds. And finally, there are still people in other countries who pay by their bandwidth. So iSyndica saved them a lot of money since they only had to upload once.

So a service like iSyndica is faster over all. It's actually a disadvantage to do it all from my computer.

Like i said before. Rent a dedicated server. Upload your clips to it, log in to the server using software for remote control and upload the clips to different stocksites from your fast dedicated server.
I think the cheapest dedicated servers start at like 50$. You don't need heavy hardware for just some ftp work.

$50 a month doesn't fit in my budget for something like that. If it did fit in mine (and lots of others budgets) then iSyndica would still be around. We would have all paid more for the service and they would have been able to make money.

For me personally, I have a solution at home that will work for me (fortunately I was a computer programmer for 28+ years). And remember that MOST people don't have the technical know-how to log into a remote server and do those tasks.

Hehe true its not cheap. I never used isyndica, because i have 10mbit upload at home, so i don't know what people paid monthly for it.
For the people who don't know anything about remote login. Take a look at www.logmein.com its (in my opinion) very clear and more important its free.
