Clips You might like PROBLEM

When viewing a page... you get the new addition of clips you might like... well if you look at them (Hover mouse over them) the resolution is always 1440x1440 or 1920x1920... the 2nd number always matches the first. Just a little heads up to admins.

Right you are! Fixed.

Thanks!

How is that selection generated anyway? Seems mostly random to me.

It's a great way to see other people's work, but I fail to see how interest for one clip might lead to the assumption that the linked clips might be interesting.

We'll test out different options here. As a start, we pull a few keywords at random, or them together and then sort them roughly by the rank (the database's score with regards to the match). This is something we're going to refine as we go. Considering how many unintended investments I've done at Amazon, I think this is quite important to get right...

Maybe match up clips that have four or more same keywords

Amen on that one. My lady never lets me buy at Amazon without her supervision so that I won't buy things we didn't intend to. The result being that we usually buy one thing she wants but didn't know she did - and one for me... ;-)

I guess just using 4 keywords is not enough for "might like". How many clips do you think "animation, cgi, flame, fractal" would yield. ;-)

The Amazon algorythm takes into account such things as "same author", "same category", "bought by same person". Any data mining experts here? My data mining course was like 15 years ago, so I'm a bit out of the loop...
