Raw MPEG upload

I'd like to see something like this implemented. Problem is, the other 2 sites I submit to don't allow it.... so if I am uploading I like to keep the files all the same that are going to different sites. Quality control.

I don't mind the larger upload size, Just start it at night and go to sleep.

Hello,

Any news on this front!
Id love to be able to upload clips directly from my EX1. Im still trying to perfect a workflow for my format conversions.

Are you guys saying you want to upload video directly from the camera without any editing for content?
I couldn't do that for actor clips. There is always something to edit out of the scene. Hell, even when I do a landscape there is something to edit out, color correct etc.

Anyway, until the entire stock industry adopts some other format than Quicktime, I'm keeping with what I do now.

I agree, for the foreseeable future .MOV will be the standard. Until the other codex are accepted everywhere then like Scott and Jake said ...MOV is it. Also footage straight from the camera is normally not ready to sell. Some slight enhancements are needed and most processing program just don't work well without doing PJPEG or MJPEG in the .MOV. It's just not a priority for many of us.

Even if Pond5 supports additional formats (which I'd love), you still have to convert them for other sites.

While I'm fine with the .MOV container, I definitely want to upload clips using the advanced H.264 (AVCHD) codec because it has a TON more color data than JPEG and even with all that extra color data, the files are smaller.

Not totaly unedited, the sony xdcam software enables you to 'subclip' the native files, top and tail, etc.

But I see your point, its best to keep things simple for the end user.
If im having to follow a long winded proccess to convert the files, thats better than every buyer having to strugle with them Individually.

Its probably just time for me to upgrade my poor old avid.

I've just submitted a .MPEG clip from my Sony Z7 and fingers crossed it gets accepted so I can upload my entire collection. No sales from AlwaysHD in 18 months. Need a new partner! ;)
