Source: (camera model name)

I remember I used to enjoy searching by camera type a year ago. Now only a very, very, very few clips appear when I search by camera type.

source: T2i
source: EX1
source: 7D
source: 5D
source: GH1
source: RED

Now when you type source: RED , you get thousands of clips that use red as keyword.

Some artist may be using this feature to improve their appeal to buyers.

Can you make it work again?

I see more and more artists that seem to be embarrassed of the camera they use and leave the "camera" block empty when keywording. Kinda hard to clean up the spam and show a separate search for animation and video if artists don't fill in the required blocks and curators don't check it.

One more issue: how do you fill in for a Canon 5D Mark II:

- Canon 5D Mark II
- Canon 5D M II
- 5D2

Which one of the above?

I suggest there should be some kind of preset button or checkbox or menu to choose from. It is pretty hard to search for a certain camera model that has the name made up of more than one word.

It had been asked in the past to set a default camera but it was not approved. You are right, it makes no sense to be able to do a search based on a particular camera if there is not standard nomenclature. I use "Canon 5D MKII" so that is a fourth choice ;). Having a list to chose from might help eliminate non-approved point-and-shoot camera footage from being submitted.

In 2010, only by placing 5d , all the Canon;s 5D Mk ii would appear. I even made a var chart of all cameras. I do not remember now which camera was the most popular but the EX1 was one of the most popular and there were plenty of HV20's.
Big companies like Yofitofu would never report what camera was used.

Unfortunately, it would be an honor system, because anyone can say whatever camera they want, there is no way to verify it. Once the footage is processed and exported with a package and codec, it has no data that could be confirmed, so it is kind of pointless isn't it?

True but we owe the buyer the honest information. Without honest and full disclosure buyers will become hesitant to buy. The more accurate information the better. If an artist is embarrassed to disclose the equipment they are using they are a hobbyist only and should not be selling.

I understand, I am only trying to explain that a system expecting universal honor from sellers, would have very predictable results. Also, I suspect that a lot of buyers here return to sellers they have used, so the quality will speak for itself in the end. Many of the most successful sellers have no information on their equipment.
