Does Audio format affect sales?

Hi folks. Thought I'd try doing a search like a pond5 customer might do. I notice most people upload their files as WAVS, but pond5 also accepts AIFFs too, which is the format I upload with. Do you think it makes a difference whether our audio appears as WAV or AIFF? I'm wondering if maybe some people didn't know what AIFF was and whether that had a bearing on a sale.
Just my paranoia as I try to eliminate as many reasons as possible not to buy my tracks lol.

Hello David!
When I upload I always just try to keep it standard. I always upload WAV. You could upload both as well.

Although both are lossless, I would go with .wav as I feel that's what most would expect to get when making an audio purchase. I myself only use .wav and most here do as well, so that's my 2 cents on it.

Hi!
From past experience, I feel like WAV will have more compatibility. That might just be my old brain talking though.

Hi everyone. Thanks a lot for your thoughts and suggestions. I think I might start uploading in WAV's for future tracks. I went with AIFF 48khz simply because I wanted to make sure they were getting the highest possible quality of sound, and also the fact the AIFF's I believe store metadata and other information, so if your track went missing in their hard drive they could find it - or you!
That said, I guess if it has reached their hard drive they've already bought it so who cares?!
