Canon C300

Received the C300 yesterday. Pretty impressive footage from it.
I have a shoot this weekend that I will be using it. Watch for it next week.

I shot a quick test yesterday between the C300 and the 5D.
The 5D was set to the neutrual setting and C300 to the C-log and graded in AE
The editing range of the C300 is huge. Plus you can see that there is moire on my jacket in the 5D footage and none in the C300..
That in itself is a huge thing for me.

The C300 colors are very natural as oppposed to the 5D which had the blacks crushed and a higher contrast that couldn't be edited.

You should view this at the 720 setting and full screen.

Congrats! So, you gave up the BlackMagic?

Yes, the delays and problems with the sensor made me think this wasn't going to be a good way to go in the first version.
Still an option for a second camera next year when they get the bugs worked out.

C300 is insane! but expensive as hell :P
