MOV OR MP4

Hello, fellow artists.
Curious to know your thoughts on the best format for your stock footage. MOV OR MP4? I know the difference in terms of their applications, (Apple Quicktime etc...), but wondered if you felt that Stock Footage encoded as one or the other was deemed to be more or less beneficial to prospective clients?

Personally, I'm happy with an .MP4
I've uploaded both the massive .MOV and the more compact .MP4, and they both sell about the same.

The reason why I prefer an .MP4 as an editor is because massive .MOV files:

- take up way too much space
- play slowly, stutter, drop frames, etc
- customers complain that "your clip doesn't play"
--- well ya, QuickTime pretty much barfs trying to play a 1GB .MOV that's only 30 seconds long.

If I do download a massive .MOV from Pond5, one of the first things I do is convert it to .MP4 so that I can edit it smoothly.
The video quality is almost identical, really don't understand why anyone would want the massive .MOV
