Alpha channel Video.

When I upload a 4k video to pond5, they also automatically converted to HD and SD clips.

But if i upload a alpha channel video and pond5 automatically makes HD and SD copy with H264 codec.

My Question is, H264 does not support alpha channel or transparent video. Then if anyone download this alpha channel or transparent video then how my alpha channel video will works?

Thanks for reaching out. You're correct that these downconversions will not retain the transparency information. As a work-around, you can upload your own HD/SD versions of your files in a format with transparency, and then we can associate them with the original versions for you. Please email support@pond5.com with the clips in the following format:

item: 12345678 12345678 2345678
item: 98765432 07938255 0235328732

Rest assured, when/if a customer writes in about their HD version not being transparent, we will instantly convert the file for them and immediately send the customer a working version with transparency.
