HI there
Is there any news on an improvement in the preview image system ?
The preview image for this clip for example is a plain blue rectangle:

Not very enticing to a browsing customer, I doubt someone looking for an airplane would bother clicking on it and jump straight to the picture of an aiplane right next to it.
It would be cool if we could choose a representative frame or even upload a preview picture.

That you can choose between 5 stills from the clip, great idea!

I'd like to be able to choose which frame is the preview also. Or just be able to upload a jpeg to be used at the preview image.

We're working on this now - should have a solution for it soon. :)

Well, we have a temporary solution - a 1-second offset for clip frames. We'll go ahead and change the thumbnails for all the clips where it would help.
Of course, we realize that a 1-sec offset is less than ideal for thumbnails like this:
