Can 10-bit video files be sold on Pond5?

High-dynamic-range is here, but is it here at Pond5? I have 8mm footage that was scanned on a Lasergraphics ScanStation at 16-bit depth, which allows me to extract HDR files from it. So can I start uploading HDR footage at Pond5?

Yes, I've uploaded 10 bit video for years.

But to answer your other question of can you upload HDR footage here.
A quick search for HDR footage comes back with over 28,000 videos.
So I guess that answer is also yes.

I took your suggestion to search for HDR footage. all the results I looked at have a bit depth: 24. So, it looks like 'not yet'.

but yours is 16-bit?

My scans start out as 16 bits per color DPX files, yes.

Right now I'm grading and delivering in 8-bit Rec. 709 (standard for 8-bit HD.)

The 16-bit DPX files as source give me two things;
—More latitude to grade faded and/or badly exposed footage and produce a usable image (without it posterizing,) and;
—Future-proof my initial scan of the footage. I should have enough 'meat' in the DPX files to grade out a 10-bit HDR version of the footage. All I'll need to do is re-load the 16-bit files onto the SSD and re-grade in 10-bit Rec. 2020 when that come on line, and do it again in 10- or 12-bit Rec. 2100 when that comes online. It just requires that I specify that the timeline and output are in the HDR colorspaces. The software handles the conversion from 16-bit DPX to 8-bit Rec. 709, or 10- or 12-bit Rec. 2020, or 10- or 12-bit Rec. 2100.

The secret of Kodachrome is that the past was shot in HD-HDR
