Review times...

Really not trying to complain, but review times for After Effects projects seem to be really, really slow. I've got stuff in the queue since March 1st or so. And per file day, these After Effects projects appear to be going vey well, so I'd like to add a lot more, but I'm hesitant at this point until I get any word about approvals. Anyway...
Is this typical or just a result of the recent addition of photo/illustration files?

The average is two weeks or so.

Usually AE projects were reviewed really fast 48 hours or so compared to video clips but now it seems to slowed down significantly. I have also an AE project pending since 6 march.

I've been waiting over 3 weeks for some air to air footage to be reviewed and like you I'm waiting to see how it goes before committing all my stuff to these people. The review process should be much much much quicker. It's quite off-putting

The delays are indeed extreme compared to the normal P5 process. Even us old time artists are in the same slow train as far as review times. Yup, frustrating indeed but sales continue to grow. That's the biggest and best part of P5.

Tim,
You're welcome to not submit here... we don't need any more competition. /wink
Seriously, patience dude... I'm just as unhappy because I remember when stuff was typically reviewed in less than 24 hours. It's just that a LOT of new people like yourself have shown up submitting stuff and they're behind.

Perhaps they should hire on some part-time curators. You know, experienced stock footage shooters who could work from home for a few pennies per video. I nominate Vadervideo.

That's a great idea with part-time curators because other agencies already do it this way by outsourcing their work. If the $$$ is right I would do it too.

For me it usually takes a couple of days, and reviewing after resubmitting is even faster - 1 day or so. My curator is very fast :)
