Anything like earlier this year? Is the new normal mid-$50s for 1080? Have we reached bottom yet?

Not bad my way brother, my sales are going up not down. I have been chasing news stories and filming it as fast as I can, it seems todo me well, I also sell a good bit on stringr. The point is saturate your content in as many places as humanly possible to get those numbers up.
I share a lot of it on my YouTube channel to inspire others. I have found most don't stick with it long enough to realize the potential here which is astronomical if you put the work in.
As far as HD, yeah, a good average would be mid 50's, most of my videos are downsized. It don't matter to me I appreciate it either way.
I have so much content to go through, I try to chase down every story lol, it means my 5 TB hard drives are all pretty much full.. but I push man because I have found that waiting for a sale don't work. In this game it is truly a numbers game for sure.
Check me out sometime YT, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3yE0vKsiiVs I share a lot of my sales and experience in my community tab.
You will only be at the bottom if you can't reach the top! ~Me
Peace brother

With all respect, Madvideos, if you're OK with your phone videos netting you $20 that's your decision. But that's exactly what I'd call "the bottom". Pond5 used to represent a platform where we could license our videos for more than $50 each, I mean isn't that what the competition licenses them for?
Is there anyone here whose pricing is higher and are getting sales? Not me, even though I started out with a couple of sales earlier this year that were. I guess if I dropped all my prices to $50, yeah, I'd probably license more but what would the point?

Sales are good.
But I'm not exclusive so when one site doesn't sell well, others seem to pick up the slack. The way it's always been.
You say you had a "couple of sales" and that's it?
Two reasons for that. Either your prices are too high for royalty free or what you're shooting isn't what people want.
The second reason is why a lot of people start this and then stop.
$235 for editorial footage may be a little high for what you're shooting.
Maybe rethink what you're shooting and make a change.

singletrack, I have high priced videos, still not high enough imo, I just sold this clip, my cut was $131
yeah.. forget that phone and $20 junk, not sure who said that but eh.. I film with the following..
Canon M50, Sigma 17-50mm Canon 22mm Canon 50mm Viltrox speedbooster, takes me to 1.4, 15-45mm, GoPro 7, 8 and 10, iPhone 6 iPhone 12, LG style 4, sold a video from that for $125.
The sales are there, you don't have enough media yet that sir is your main dilemma
Peace

Photoguy5000, I'm OK with $131 or thereabouts as my cut (for 1080), others seem to think that if they net $20 that's just fine, hey, it's a sale! I have another 1000 videos I decided to not upload here because I wanted to see how the merger worked out for us "veterans". I'd put my quality (for what I shoot) up against anyone elses but that's not the point.
I licensed two pretty quickly, which were typical of what I shoot. The people who licensed them were fine with my pricing. I thought, well, heck, I can live with those commissions. But it's been awhile since then.
I don't see how having another 1000 videos up here would give the discerning buyer the added choice to make more sales happen. I can't shoot all genres all the time, I've decided to concentrate on what I know. The two sales I immediately got gave me hope that what I do sells.
I started this thread just to ask if P5 has become the lowball nightmare that all of us have feared would happen. If you look at the "Last footage sold" thread you'd think that $50 vids ($20 or so net) were all that are selling these days.
Tell me that's not the case, please.

I have small portfolio and I started stock videography on December 2021, so far I only got 1 sale very recent on Adobe and my cut was 5,60$ no thanks to video subs...
One part of me thinks "okey my country have a great inflation, 5 dolar is good for 30-40 seconds of clips", but other part of me thinks its not worth the time bothering with all the shooting, editing, uploading, keywording etc... The clip I had sold was just a landscape establishing shot, so I am okey for whatever price for it. But I'm thinking about other people's works, there are really great shots with models in all stock websites, and also great nature shots that produced with heavy and expensive gear. I probably would delete my footage like that if it was sold for 5 dollars. That's the problem with race to bottom and video subs and everything related. These discounts are same for every video, there is not a difference between a shot with model, a nature shot, an editorial shot of a riot and a simple landscape shot etc... Either race to bottom should stop somewhere or there should be difference in video subs between different type of footages (in terms of content, not just techincal aspects).
