Hi guys, very new here and need some help. I just purchased a file which appears to only have .MOV formats. the problem it seems is that this specific HD format wont work properly with Corel Video Studio Pro X6 - So my issues are this, when purchasing a file, is it possible to see the format anywhere before buying (if so I havent found it - and can I get an MP4 version of the .MOV I have purchased? I have tried to convert to another format but it crashes the software.

What do you mean by "it won't work properly"? It playbacks slow, it has artifacts? I took a look at Crole Video STudio specs and Quicktime files are among accepted input formats. A different file format won't necessarily be better. The Quicktime container is one of the most accepted ones in the world of editors. Could you give us some details about your computer(video card, memory, CPU)?

If you are using the new version of the site, there is a technical information button under the video clip that will say the package/codec info. If using the old version, I believe it is a little i symbol or something you click on. wheijnen is correct though, most stock imagery video is .mov, photojpeg.
Is the free version of quicktime installed on your computer? I know that can make a difference on PC when using premiere or after effects. That is where the editor gets the codec. Let us know if that helps or maybe we can try something else.

Hey guys, just to clarify, not all videos on Pond5 are in the .mov format. We also accept videos in .MP4, .M2TS and .MXF for native files only. These formats aren't as common as .MOV, but we do have some in our library.

Andrew1969, let me guess, you have purchased a huge file in the PhotoJpeg codec. While it may be jumpy, what matters is the final result, after editing.
