DUST IN SENSOR

I am going to order Eclipse to see what happens. I tried 91% alcohol and all I can say is that it leaves much less liquid residue than VDust Plus and it evaporated much quicker.

Let me know if you need some help or advice when you do it. Like I said I have the GH2 and I'm sure its almost identical to the GH3. Just remember there are different size swabs with Eclipse. I got the Eclipse Digital Survival Kit "Type 1" with four swabs and a bottle of cleaner, which I think is methanol...it also comes with some lens cloth that is the same exact material as what is wrapped on the plastic swabs, so I actually cut more to fit the plastic exactly so I got a lot more swab usage out of it. Like I said, what finally worked for me was carefully putting one drop of solution right on the glass filter, mopping it gently with a Q-tip head for a few seconds and then finishing it off with a swipe with the swabs. I tried a few times before utilizing that technique without getting rid of the spot. The swabs were just the right size to go up and down on the glass filter instead of side to side. You need to use just enough pressure on the swabs to bend the plastic handle slightly. If the handle doesn't bend, you're going too light on it. It says all that in the instructions anyway. I aimed at my white ceiling on my widest angle before I started just to get a baseline photo of what spots were there and to compare it when I was finished. Good luck!

Did you ever clean the sensor again? I was wondering how you made out.

@MichaelWard - The particle never came off. I will be sending the camera to the Texas service center during the first week of January. I am trying to stay away from pan shots or sky shots plus using the camera in the 2X mode as much as I can. I found out that 91%+ alcohol + swabs works best.
