After Effects CC (2014)

All I can say is that this new version runs about twice as fast as the original CC version. Nice upgrade.

As soon as I get my hard drive recovered I'll have space to try it. There's gonna be a lot of surgery with all this boat-based handheld footage!

This was a totally new build as now I have the original CC version and the 2014 version.
Can you uninstall the old one?

Yes, you can uninstall the old one. I'm gonna have to keep it for a little while, until I can upgrade my plugins.

Plugin upgrade is pretty straight forward. Most of them you can copy to the new CC (2014) directories without issues. For Red Giant I recommend using their new installers. I also am keeping the older versions (down to CS6) for quite a while as some clients are still on that version and are still "afraid" of the whole CC thing.
