Can't export .Mov files from Adobe Premier Pro CC 6

As soon as you make any changes to the settings, the preset will change to 'custom'. So once you have something that works, you can save that as a your own preset. Also, you should set your frame rate to be the same as your source material. I just used 23.976 because that is what my test source was.

You can leave all of the advanced settings unchecked. Same goes for bit rate unless you are required to hit a target (for web streaming etc). One thing you probably don't want to play with is keyframes. Increasing keyframe size will make the files HUGE.

The size of your file will depend completely on the content. For example a shot with little noise/grain and a static camera with little movement will result in a file much smaller than something with a lot of detail and motion. I just exported a 20 second section of our company demo reel which is action packed and the file was about 200mb (full HD @ 23.98fps).

Ok, thanks for all your help. Much appreciated. Do you rate Premiere as a pro film editing tool ? I am currently trialing it and I know it is very costly so may opt for the cloud.

I am the post supervisor at one of the largest studios in Canada and I use it every day. We use it for conforming our final material for client delivery if a Quicktime file is required.

Premiere Pro is a very professional tool and worth every penny.

The free sample PP may not allow .MOV 264 rendering.

What I am finding so far after trialing Magix $40 software is not much difference in features. You can alter colour/contrast/speed etc in magix as you can for Pr cc. Ditto for rendering. Just have to decide if the huge cost of Pr is justified for editing for stock footage or not compared to cheaper software.
