Sending clips on external HDD

Hi,
Does any of you have experience with sending clips to Pond5, on external HDD.
I watched video on Youtube where Michelle and Ryan suggest on that option, but I would like to know more about the procedure itself (which is the best / safest way to send HDD, which type of HDD is best for mailings, waiting for approval of clips...)
Since now I can not provide a higher upload speed of 0:25 Mbps :) in the region where I live, I'll have to use this option.

I have done this with very good results. I used a 2.5" USB powered Western Digital "My Passport" drive, wrapped in bubble wrap, in a box, no problem. They transferred the files over, and then I spent the next three months tagging the clips in "My Uploads" page, when I felt like, it or had time. Waiting for approval is only started after you submit when you are done tagging. They tend to ignore little chunks of three or four clips, but if you do 10 or more in an evening, they usually curate them within a day or two. They send the drive back to you.

Read this (but ignore the thing about file names - it's bogus) http://help.pond5.com/hc/en-us/articles/200944033-Can-I-Mail-You-My-Media-On-A-Hard-Drive-

Hello Mizamook, thanks for your reply and information.
Also, I was planning to buy a Western Digital "My Book" 500GB. Tell me, how is your HDD was formatted (NTFS, HFS +), or it is not important for Pond.
