Sometimes I see time lapse movies shot with DSLR where the camera is moving, for example from left to right.
Where do I find this gadget that makes the camera move?

I used hand moving. Not recommented, too unprofessional.
People use motorized tripod head with speed control. Then you need to have a very quick continuous shooting mode to have smooth video movement. I am sure there is professional equitment to do that. I don´t know more. Too expensive for me.
Or you mean moving within the picture frame: then After effect can do the job. Someone has a clip in the forum already.
Hope that help

Search in google
Yes it is horizontal and verticle. Cost around 200-300 dollars
But moving within a frame also can do the job. But the angle is limited only
Also search in Vimeo to see some footage of this

Im not sure but i believe there are people who make in postproduction "fake" pans from photos with bigger resolutions then hd footage.
So if they shoot pics at 10mp they can zoom in on a part of the photo and make a pan or tilt.

Yes, what Eddie says. That's definitely the easy way to do it. Setting up a simple pan of your footage in Final Cut or After Effects is simple. If your time lapse photos are much bigger than your video frame size, it would be a piece of cake.

Yes, this will do in some cases. I just keyed the words "motorized tripod head " in google and found good answers. Thanks.
