I recently bought the Sony A7s. Sold my GH4 and Beholder ms1
This was also using the Metabones IV and a Canon 28mm lens.
Offhand the Beholder DS1 is much more stable than the MS1, I guess the difference between the 8 bit board in the MS1 and 32 bit in the DS1 plus the larger motors.
This is a test of the Beholder and also shot two of the clips at 8000 ISO. I didn't do any noise reduction in this video and at full screen you can see some noise but keep in mind this is 8000 ISO and that looks much cleaner than my C300 at 8000. So I'm blown away at that.
Not in this video but I shot some at 20,000 ISO the other night and even that is very useable with some noise reduction.

Did you use Profile1 for your Sony Alpha 7S M2 ? Is it M2 ?
Yes, I would prefer this Sony than the Canon. Low light, Size and weight are important.

I really like my DS1. I had them modify my PID settings so that I could use it with the smaller GH4 in the meantime. Only thing I can't stand is the tiny screw to attach your camera. They call it tool-less but because of that little screw it really isn't.

Many things which they can improve.

That looks pretty good.I've been on the fence about the DS1 but it might be time to make a move. Thanks for posting.

Pat, Not sure which profile I used. It was supposed to be the flattest without going to Log3
Still playing with the settings. The menu is so complicated compared to the GH4
