Hi all,
a few months ago i posted 10 ( not realy googd clips) to see how it works. I did two sales. Two months ago id made some clips of older footage and start making new HD clips with a canon 7D. 280 clips now. But not one sale. Is the quality not good enough? overpriced? or ist it the pall thing, on an U.S. orientated website? Thanks all.
cheers from Amsterdam

Good looking clips, colors are nice and seem well exposed. The only issues I see is that a lot of your clips are handheld and shaky. Or they are on a tripod but you are adjust things while recording, like focus, and it makes it noticeable shaky.
Many of your clips are also editorial, almost 3 out of 4 I saw. Your gym ones are good, but you need to shoot to make sure they aren't editorial, and generic enough to use in commercials.

thanks dapoota, sounds stuppid maybe, but... what is the difference between editorial and generic exacly? Maybe because i do most of the time docu and news. You are right about the tripod, the new HD shots are better and specialy made for stock. The rest of the shots is what i had left from docu and news reports.

I believe he means:
Editorial: Used more in documentaries, News Casts, etc. Generally, they consist of known camera angles.
Generic: Think commercials. Unique angles, moving shots that you don't see on everyday home-shot videos.
Search the video's here at Pond5, and sort by number of sales, and you'll see more generic type then editorial type (unless I am mis-interpreting :P )
See https://www.pond5.com/stock-footage/87432/dancing-with-the-sun.html for an example.

Editorial simply means the clip cannot be used commercially because it contains either recognizable faces, locations needing property rights, copyrighted images, etc. An example would be video taken of a Mac computer (with the logo clearly visible).
Commercial footage simply means non-editorial (at least in this sense of the word). An example would be shooting an apple (the fruit) since there are no copyrights for such an object, and it doesn't have a recognizable face (if it does you should buy apples from another vendor).
