I think Pond5 should take Views/Sales ratio into account more carefully in it's algorithms. What do you think guys?

What makes you think it doesnt?
Especially regarding sales.
Have you tried a search? There's a button to categorize results by popularity which is an euphemism for...you know

Mine is WAY off this month.
1 Download
4 Artist Page View
It would be nice to know if my clips are priced too high at $199 (4K) / $99 (HD).
If these views, even half were converted to sales, I would be worry free!

maybe if every clip had exactly the same price, then that ratio could be taken more seriously. but if one has a clip priced at $100 and another has a clip at $20, it's not abnormal that one clip's ratio will be lower and that wouldnt mean it should be displayed less.

I've never paid much attention to views. I don't think it weighs too heavily on Best Match algorithms. If it did, it would be too easy to manipulate.

What I meant is Views/Sales ratio related to each item in particular. I give you an example with two of my items:
Item A has 1357 views and sold 186 times. The Views/sales ratio is 13.70%
Item B has 53 views and sold 8 times. The Views/sales ratio is 15.09%
Their "life span" at Pond5 is very similar (were uploaded with only a few days difference)
In theory, item B has a greater percentage of being sold than item A, despite the huge difference in views and sales they got. But because item B didn't have the same exposure (views) it only sold 8 times. Got what I mean?
Thank you for your comments, guys... good sales for everyone! :)
