What screen do you use for editing

Well actually the topic says it all. I'm looking for a new pc screen which is optimized for editing video.

There are so many screens and so many opinions that I'm wondering what my pond5 friends are using to edit their stock footage.

I just use the screen on my 27" iMac. I could hook up a second monitor for my edit monitor, but I don't have the desk space.

I have 2 monitors: Samsung SyncMaster T200HD and LG Flatron M227WD and callibrate them with the Spyder 3 Pro every few weeks.
Zygis

I have two ASUS 21-inch 1920x1080 monitors. I also have an ASUS 19-inch 720p HDMI monitor that I use with my camera and occasionally I'll hook it up as a 3rd monitor on my system.

A Dell 24" as main monitor and an Asus 22" as a second. Gonna buy a second Dell 24" this week because a: its cheap and b: the colour and contrast on the Asus don't match the Dell very well despite my best efforts. . . .maybe I should get a Spyder3 like Zygis. Like to have my explorer window open on the second monitor and drag and drop files on the Sony Vegas timeline.

Eddie, best thing to do is have a look at what graphics card your using. Most monitors in the sub $400 cat are ok for video, a good graphics card will make the best out of any good monitor. What ever software your using will most likely have a specs list for getting the best out of your system on their website. I use LG, sharp and a good old crt 22" mitsubishi.

Hmmz, I expected to see things like eizo etc. but it looks like thats maybe a bit overkill?
@Maguiremedia I'm planning to buy a nvidea 285 also, because thats supported bij adobe cs5 and the mercury playback engine. I guess that vid is good enough.
Maybe i should buy a spider and calibrate the screen I'm using now (samsung syncmaster 940bw)
