Keyword search process is getting very weird!
Search newest video "elk" and the whole first page is full of clips of moose, alligators, peacocks, anything but elk! Come on Pond5... everybody loses if you're not going to be more rigorous with the keyword data. Buyers will quickly get fed up wading through all the junk!
Please sort this out before it gets totally out of control!

The keywords are good. There is a translator in the P5 software, however. When it sees the keyword ANIMAL, it is then looking for all the animals from Noah's arc.

Well, by no names I mean no understandable name, just the original filename which was a mix of alphabets and numbers

Hello All
Thanks for bringing this to our attention. As you all know, the curating process is not automated at Pond5, which is great but it also, occasionally, leads to oversight. We try and carefully look at all clips that are uploaded and approved but once in a while there will be errors. We are constantly taking steps in making the upload and curatorial process smoother and more efficient. As always, feel free to drop us a line at contact@pond5.com whenever there are issues.
Just for the record, clips with missing keywords are not 'rejected'--they are 'sent back' to the artist so they can fill out the missing info because usually it was an errort on their part, which is very common, as is the missing 'model release' form.

@skylight Here's the real problem why you find clips that don't belong in your search for ELK.
Check the keywords used. There are a lot of people here who complain that it takes to long for their clips to be reviewed. Well if the curators did as you suggested it could take a month before clips were reviewed and online. This problem is nothing new.

The problem may not be new but as the site continues to grow so will the problem. Seems kind of self defeating to have speed and large quantity at the expense of buyer efficiency and quality of experience.
It may be more time consuming for curators to scan the relevancy of keywords but it has got to be worth it in the long run. A few simple rejections or banning uploads for a month or two would smarten up the spammers!
I just dislike seeing my stuff being lost in a bunch of irrelevant clips. ;-(
