Osmo Pocket versus Osmo Action

I was going to buy the Osmo Pocket ... now I am not so sure ... It seems that "image quality", features, waterproof and durability turn the scale toward the Osmo Action .... no $$$ to buy both so .... I need to make an educated decision. Inputs?

Sell all your GoPro stock. DJI maybe a strong competitor and GoPro is a one pony show.

A BlackBoxer here.
Hi cinemacameratv, in my opinion, I think I'll go with the Osmo Pocket for my daily stock footage hunting. It is small (of course GoPro too), it has 3 axis gimbal, not optical stabilization, it has good quality for low light, manual settings (shutter and iso), has the ability timelapse and panlapse (panning while timelapse).
But of course, it really depends on what you really need. If you do a lot of sports, underwater activity, and would like to rig the camera for unique perspective footage, you should go for the GoPro.

I think they have their own class. But once again, for an everyday shoot, I suggest the Osmo Pocket.

@JoshRafg, Thankyou for your advice on the Osmo Pocket ... but regarding Blackbox the way the industry is moving towards less an less money for the creator, trying to force you to exclusivity and with only two gods fighting for king of the hill (SS & P5) ... meaning that you only have to focus your efforts uploading only to two agencies that will represent 99% of your income joining Blackbox is for people who do not depend on filming stock for a living.

There are reviews in youtube that are bias towards the Osmo Action. Very little is said about image quality. No real image quality comparison and image quality for me is more important.

Osmo Pocket is superior in every way except action/sport shooting. Better/more natural FOV, wider aperture gives better low light performance, no need to crop sensor for stabilization.

I purchased a Hero7 just a week and a half ago. Just got it today. Naturally the DJI announcement came out after it was shipped. Haha.

Anyway, did find one hands on review that looked at the Hero7 vs the Osmo Action. Results basically were:

Action wins for stabilization and battery life
Hero7 wins for image quality (in ProTune) (not the crunchy flickery DJI oversharpened look which the Action does have)
Sorry not a comparison or on-topic info regarding the Osmo Pocket. I would likely use my Mavic 2 Pro for that function were it needed.
But if Osmo Pocket had the Mavic2 Pro 1" sensor I'd be all over that.

Got the Hero7 because a friend of mine with an airplane stuck it on his wing and no jello! I don't mind de-fishing as long as the clouds and highlights are not blown, and NO FLICKER

I got Osmo pocket few weeks ago.. It superb for fast stock, it on in 5 sec.. I like that.. I like 4k 60fps, but doesn't have 4k+.. battery is good.. I never use phone with it, that small lcd is enough to frame the shoot.. sound its always on, there is no way to turn it off, maybe in next firmware.. overall, good investment especially if you are shooting stock exclusive for high price:)
This is last shots with Oslo pocket 4k 60 fps manual mode, auto focus..

Osmo pocket reminds me of when I got my first Canon vixia HV30 camera. It works for stock, definitely, but its just EVERYTHING in focus and has that feeling of cheap footage.

If you want to step it up a bit, get the Osmo Pro. I love that thing!
