No Views

Hi everybody,
I know that no views are no views, but I've been experienced from several weeks ago that my last uploads has no views Just 0!. Is just me or maybe there some functional reason on site...? Thanks for help!

In the last year things have changed. many feel that views are not meaningful or accurate anymore. Views and sales were predictable, not anymore. I have clips that have been online of nearly a year with no views. Based on the last six years I believe this is very unlikely. Unless a re-programming happens with statistics, I would not believe that zero equals zero ... Obama mathematics again ;)

Glad to hear you rekindlePhoto. Hope this reprogramming comes one day. It is necessary to see if something happens to your work.

I have sales with no views. I'm thinking buyers must click through to the details page before it counts as a view. They can add clips to their carts straight from the thumbnails.

I have clips that I know received views that says "0 views" on the details page.

How do I know they got views? Because I was in the room showing people these clips on Pond5.

So, I think the "views" system is very flawed.

What about the monthly stats page? I'm wondering if this is a more accurate reading of clip views. I had one clip that sold recently that said it had "0" views, but had 3 views when I looked at the monthly stats, which would make sense.

If I remember correctly there was response from Marcus that it takes 5 views of a clip before it's added to the clips page wtether or not it sold.

I have also been wondering about this. I don`t have that many clips up at P5, but all of them have sold ok on some other sites. I`m not complaining about zero sales at P5 `cause I know this is a numbers game and this takes some time. But all of my clips has zero views, and than I just can`t figure out how the h... I can sell anything on this site. The are well tagged and all, but maybe there is something else I`m doing wrong in the uploading process...?

I have many sales with no views and many clips that have views that are not in increments of 3 or 5. Maybe I missed the answer from P5 but I don't remember seeing anything official from P5 ... the only ones who really know how views, ATC and stats really work. It would be nice to get a description of stats (not technical or in programming language) and how they work for a seller to use as a management tool. A lot of guessing by other artists and we just don't really know.
