Hey all, some are against it and some are with it, but to be honest last round of dataset earnings for me, the one in Oct I guess was fairly nice! Do you think Pond5 will be able to get more deals like that?

so you think your hard work being scanned by AI company's and all or part of your work being sold to people that then use your work and say its their own as a good thing ??

I think it's beyond good and bad. You can't fight the ocean, and to be honest, it's not a fight worth fighting at all. - It's pointless.

You spend months uploading videos then they are all scanned used by other people that put no effort on and you get 40 dollars for your time , works out cents per days effort, not sure why anyone would think having your work scanned for a pittance is a good thing ?

Idk what you mean by other people calling your work their own? I sell audio and soundtracks, dataset earnings are to basically train AI models.

Ai company's can use parts of images or parts of sounds and lyrics and people can then use those in their project and call it their own

After awhile you must ask who the f#$# would bother uploading to this sort of market? So there, ultimately, will be vast stock of dated footage and nothing new.

unfortunately people are reluctant to remove what took month to upload tag and title, pond5-shutterstock rejoice in selling artists work for a dollar as they sell tens of thousands and they see that cash, until people leave on mass nothing will change in the process of deleting 4000 images which are exclusive but being sold for a dollar which is not acceptable
