Viewing Portfolio

I usually send people to my pond5 account to look at my portfolio, using http://www.pond5.com/artist/dapoopta
Now when you go there it shows a few of my clips but you can't see my whole portfolio. This is a serious problem.

Hi @dapoopta,
This is a change that has actually been deliberately applied. The cause might sound a bit awkward, but it has been changed for SEO reasons (to improve our scoring on major search engines). So it should be beneficial for all of us.
We are trying to figure out a solution to show the entire artist portfolio on the artist page without being penalized by search engines, meanwhile you can use this link to see your entire portfolio: https://www.pond5.com/it/stock-video-footage-sound-effects-music-after-effects-photos-illustrations-images-3d-models/1/artist%3Adapoopta.html
Sorry for the inconvenience.

Yeah, considering that several of us have built some pretty elaborate sites to drive traffic, this is outright unacceptable. It would mean we have to go through hundreds of links that would need to be changed. Then what? Will P5 make another change without notifying us? This is totally ludicrous. I am deeply disappointed at this point on how P5 is doing things of this nature. Perhaps the sales slump is due to this change?? It's time to have a serious talk with P5. At NAB you guys seemed so interested in what we have to say, and we spoke lots. But pulling this is totally counterproductive. If the reason is purely for the search engines, then you need to totally re-design everything from ground up and make it mobile friendly too while you are at it. But making a change of this magnitude and not telling us about it is unacceptable! I usually don't take a stance as patience usually resolves most issues , but this, no way Jose! Undo this and go to your drawing board and start living up to the claims that were made so clearly about being in "forward" motion. While you're at it, how about asking artists that work with this system day in and day out on how things could be better. It really seems that one hand doesn't know what the other is doing. You are living up to the oldest battle since the inception of computers... programmers don't think like users, won't listen to users, and do what ever they want without checking first. This is not cool.

Additionally, when viewing any clip, clicking on the "View Portfolio" brings one back to the same lackluster artist page with little to show regarding "the Portfolio" - How about for starters fixing that button right now?

@jonasdev - Your reasoning is sound, however... You removed the SHORTCUT that allows people to easily view an artists entire portfolio from their artist page... You used to be able to click on the number of clips and it would launch the search with the artist name and would display our entire portfolio. So why was THAT disabled?
How about simply adding a "View Artists Portfolio" plain as day with a link to the search which shows their entire portfolio?

Yes have to agree with this. There has to be a simpler way to view the entire portfolio instead of giving someone that huge link.
That may work for email even though it looks pretty unprofessional and as such I won't use it. Also I won't bother putting that thing on my business card as it wouldn't fit.
I've already had some prospective buyers tell me it was to hard to find what they needed on my page.

I'm not a big fan of the artist:dapoopta search string requirement, there should be an easier way to search within a users portfolio too.
I also push buyers to my pond5 portfolio because it was the simplest link to hand out, now I'll be writing a book, if I can even memorize that thing!
Please fix.

It's kinda like the USAF. Engineers who designed fighter jets had never flown in them. The switches, dials, displays etc etc were always a nightmare to use and made little sense on placement and usage. The same kinda things seems like Vader said, the P5 engineers don't use the Artist side of P5 like the Artists do. The Artist side does not have to look "pretty" just easy, fast, and functionable. The Buyer side needs to refreshed without too many functionalble changes, just a pretty new face once in a while to keep interest. Again KISS and easy to use. For too many years we keep getting "programmer" excuses and directions on how to put a search together or how to find data. That is not what buyers or sellers want. A simple click to find or direct a buyer to. Heck now we can't click a thumb on our clips to make simple keyword changes, price changes and make things better after a sale. Ya'll have said you have heard us but when changes are made they are not what Artists feel are important and we get no heads-up ... just all of a sudden things change and we have to learn a new system that is far more cumbersome and confusing.
I'm sure all the changes must have a reason and the intent is for the best sales and profitability to everyone. Just please try to simplify things on the Artists side not make things more confusing and time consuming doing what we need to do. Make it easy for us to use our web pages, business cards, social media to help bring buyers to the site. We trust and rely on P5 to do the appropriate SEO and marketing and they have to trust in us to submit great quality and needed footage and other products.
It appears that I now have several thousand business cards that the digital link will no longer bring buyers to my portfolio or probably even to P5.

This may sound a bit aggresive and or rude, but why is it that pond5 is giving me the impression lately that you guys are beating around the bush?
I mean if there is any chance that some of your analysts or whatever, believe that in order for this site to function "properly" more things need to be "closed" and this gorgeous and unique -almost- open source platform needs to go, why not doing it all at once?
I mean dont start turning off switches, we are grown ups we can handle it, we are used to shutterstock for example, just flip the switch and come back up when all's done.Just when you get round to it make sure to impose minimum and maximum prices, or a narrow range, (stick to a model that suits the environment) tell us what we can and cannon do and that's it, so shut us off in a manner that we have to accept that this is it.
There will be tears, but we will both be happier in the end.
