I've seen AX1 footage which is very noisy too even in good light and sometimes a lot of purple fringing. If Z-100 is the same that is a wrong choice for anybody.
Before you order you better see some Z-100 footage.

Seiki? wow that is cheaper than a Sony HD tv.

Here is the "too late camera" shipping now.

2k and too expensive compared to the BMCC.

@Engineer I told you to be careful. IMHO Z100 is not THAT camera. Compare with https://d3thflcq1yqzn0.cloudfront.net/032328750_prevstill.jpeg (highly compressed by P5)
I do not edit the 4K footage just upload it.

Another compare with https://d1hw6n3yxknhky.cloudfront.net/032372077_prevstill.jpeg (highly compressed by P5)

TE, just had a look. What is the mosiac pattern all over it?

It's quite under-exposed which might not help but doesn't look great.
Videostock50 10 Dec 2013 17:56
TE - just remember what that pattern reminds me of.

Years ago when I started scanning my velvia transparencies with a Multi Pro film scanner, I got something like that - we called it pepper grain. Actually got rid of it by using a filter made by a very clever Dutch guy (if anyone's interested it was called a scanhancer). Anyway, the grain disappeared to reveal the most beautiful scans. I think it worked by slightly blurring the image - bit like anti-aliasing ones used now to suppress moire. Anyway might not be relevant.

Just wondering if there's a problem with a filter that's between the lens and the sensor.

Interesting that you think it is underexposed - this was full auto mode!

It's not as bad as the one I sent back but it is similar.
